Prevue for Careers

Prevue for Careers is a career guidance tool designed to support young people and adults who are seeking to make decisions about employment, education or training. Most people have the ability to succeed in a wide range of jobs and careers. Prevue for Careers helps individuals to recognise their abilities, interests and personality traits and through a unique matching process helps to identify careers and jobs for which they may be suited.

Prevue for Careers has been developed with input from experienced Careers Advisors and is based on a high quality occupational psychometric, the Prevue Assessment. See More information on Prevue

The Prevue for Careers report and Life Planning guide can be used for a number of applications including:

  • Approach to new Ventures
  • An aspect of leadership style
  • Preference for Change
  • Approach to conflict
  • Approach to listening

3) Potential Careers- a job suitability section that helps to job ideas and suggestions for candidates to explore. The tool carries the ability to compare the individual’s scores against a selection of benchmarks to provoke thinking about the range of jobs for which the individual may be suited. The measure has a built in database of over 250 generic benchmarks but this can be tailored and added to if required.

Also provided with the assessment is the Life Planning Guide - designed by guidance practitioners, the guide can be used in conjunction with the Prevue for Careers Report and is suitable for use on a one to one basis or in group feedback. It guides the participant through creating an Employability Profile, including:

  • Abilities.
  • Motivations and Interests.
  • Personality.
  • Personal Characteristics.
  • Knowledge.
  • Skills.
  • Work Environment

And where applicable:

  • Relevant Experience.
  • Commercial awareness.

The second stage of the process is to apply a structured six step approach to researching careers and to making and implementing good decisions about career paths.
